Course Outline

The key objectives of this course are to develop confidence and assertiveness in the role of an emcee. Trainees will be well equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the duties and expectations of an emcee.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the duties and expectations of an emcee.

  • Play an influential role as an emcee at events and activities as the composer, communicator, controller and crowd pleaser

  • Learn the type of games and activities that can be used to control the crowd such as Ice-breakers, energizers and mini quizzes

  • Project positive and professional image to the audience using appropriate language and effective communication tools when carrying out the duties as an emcee

  • Perform exciting games and activities that enthuse and engage residents of all ages, races and house types

  • Be aware of the protocols when announcing the arrival of Guest-of-Honour.

  • Understand stage management
